Our pantry is grateful to these local businesses for partnering with us  by allowing our amazing volunteers to collect "Food Rescue" retail items Monday through Friday mornings. Volunteers then prepare these items for our shelves, coolers, and freezers at the pantry. While the "best by" dates on these items require them to be taken off shelves in the retail market, the food is still perfectly good for consumption for several days or for freezing for later use. This partnership provides a great variety of fresh produce, dairy, and bakery items in our pantry and saves over a hundred thousand pounds of good food from ending up in our local landfill!
